What is Reiki?

Reiki is Japanese for "universal life energy", a natural energy that, when in balance and harmony, provides us with a true sense of wellbeing. It is a holistic therapy that anyone may benefit from, at any point in their life, when provided by a trained Reiki Master.

Those being treated using Reiki often feel a deep relaxation and calm with a sense of serenity and wellbeing at all levels. Many also feel warmth and tingling in their body as their energy levels are replenished and balanced. Some also feel an emotional response as harmony begins to be restored.

Reiki energy can only do good and is a safe and soothing treatment for the mind, body and spirit.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment that you are in. It is something that we all have the skill and ability to do, but in today's busy world filled with distraction, it can be hard to be present and fully immersed in the beauty, or challenge, of the present moment.

Mindfulness is not necessarily a spiritual practice, although it is based on the teachings and principles found in Buddhism which focus on building the skills to control our often tricky minds.

Mindfulness is built around a very specific set of meditation methods that have been proven in neuroscience and psychology studies in the U.S. and U.K.
